Acres visit RAF Coningsby
Last week Acres directors Tony and Luke attended RAF Coningsby for a networking event. The event was one of several Acres have attended, arranged through the PEBN (Precision Engineering Business Network) and designed to encourage like-minded companies to openly share their knowledge, experience and lessons-learned in order to contribute to each other’s success.
This event was a little different with an opportunity to meet colleagues of the Greater Lincolnshire Industry & Manufacturers Association.
The event was wrapped up with a guided tour of the RAF BBMF Hangar giving members the opportunity to see historic aircraft at close quarters and to observe the BBMF technicians working to maintain them in airworthy condition.
“The event proved to be a great success, with opportunities to share issues such as recruitment, training, compliance and trends in the market place.
It was a special treat to hold the meeting at RAF Conningsby and the group were given a guided tour and close-up viewing of a Typhoon, the new RAF multi role aircraft, with some members even taking the opportunity to sit in the cock pit.
Special thanks to Ray Newell and Darin Tudor for making the first joint meeting both productive and memorable.” Tony Parker
