Alice volunteers as a Caseworker for the RAF Association
Alice Parker is about to start training for her new volunteer role with the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) as a Caseworker at the heart of the Association’s welfare work, supporting members of the RAF community.
Recently it was RAF Cadet Volunteers’ Week, It’s important to shine the spotlight on our very own Alice Parker, who is training for her new volunteer role with the Royal Air Forces Association as a Caseworker at the heart of the Association’s welfare work, supporting all members of the RAF community. This support can include anything from funds for special equipment for a disabled
veteran, adaptions to a property so an older beneficiary can remain at home or funds for an RAF widow who is struggling with the cost of her energy bills.
We asked Alice what drove her to sign up: “While attending the National Transition Event, I had the opportunity to meet representatives from the Royal Air Forces Association. They were seeking volunteers, and as someone who is naturally driven to help others, I was immediately interested. Supporting the Armed Forces is something I’m passionate about—especially as we proudly hold the Gold Award for the Armed Forces Covenant. I’m always looking for new ways to give back and strengthen our ongoing commitment to the military community.”
