Our armed forces champion Dan presents award at RAF BLSA dinner

Following an invitation from Air Vice-Marshal J A Beck OBE MA BEng(Hons) FIKE, Director Capability and Programmes, our Armed Forces Champion Dan had the privilege of representing Acres Engineering at the RAF BLSA (Bobsleigh, luge & skeleton association) Awards Dinner at the International Bomber Command Centre on 4th September 2025.
It was a fantastic opportunity to meet BLSA committee members, staff, and the incredible athletes competing across Bobsleigh, Skeleton, Luge and Natural Luge. Dan was also honoured to present one of the awards on the night, celebrating the dedication and achievements of those within the Association.
Events like this are a powerful way to build future opportunities between Acres Engineering and the RAF BLSA, strengthening links between engineering innovation, defence, and sporting excellence.
Dan commented that it was a privilege to spend time with Air Cdre Rich Fogden, John Stanbride, Squadron Leader Lisa Mitchell, and the wider team – It was great to support such an event and celebrate everyone’s achievements.
