National Air & Space Camp 2025: Industry Day
The UK National Air and Space Camp 2025 is a flagship event held annually at RAF Syerston, Nottinghamshire, running from August 16th to 23rd. This prestigious camp is organised by the RAF Air Cadets and serves as an unparalleled opportunity for young cadets to delve into the fields of air, space, and cyber domains. The camp is designed to inspire and educate over 1,000 cadets through a diverse range of STEM-based activities, including robotics, aircraft engineering, satellite communications, flight simulations, and gliding. These activities not only provide hands-on experience but also expose cadets to the vast array of career opportunities within both the UK Armed Forces and the broader aerospace industry.
One of the camp’s highlights is ‘Industry Day‘, taking place on August 20th, 2025. This day offered cadets the chance to engage directly with over 60 industry partners from the air, space, and cyber sectors. The day was packed with networking opportunities, career insights, bespoke training sessions.
As a dedicated supporter of the Armed Forces, we were thrilled to connect with cadets and create an unforgettable experience that highlighted the wonders of STEM.
Our interactive station became a hub of excitement, featuring a selfie board of the Artemis crew. Cadets were given the challenge of trying to build up a set of trestles as quickly as possible in order to win a prize. Our own Top Gear style leader board was hotly contested amongst the cadets, culminating in a dead heat at 3:08 and tie-breaker between CDT Maisie and SGT Billy – With Maisie being the winner at 3:01! Winning herself an Amazon gift certificate, laser cut trophy and of course eternal glory!
The National Air and Space Camp is not just an event but a crucial step in shaping the next generation of aerospace leaders, offering them the guidance, knowledge, and inspiration needed to pursue their aspirations in these dynamic fields.
The day culminated in a private air display featuring iconic aircraft like the Typhoon, Lightning, F15, C17, Chinook, and Spitfire.
Despite the overcast conditions and a bit of rain first thing in the morning, the event was a massive success, with the Eurofighter Typhoon making a late appearance and an absolutely stunning display for the crowds – A day the cadets wont forget!
