Prehistoric Partnerships: Acres Engineering Supports St Wystan’s for Repton in Bloom

At Acres Engineering, we believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goes beyond simply giving back—it’s about making a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work. That’s why we were thrilled to support St Wystan’s School in Repton as part of their contribution to this year’s Repton in Bloom awards.

Engineering Meets Imagination

As part of this community project, our team designed, manufactured, and installed three larger-than-life dinosaur silhouettes, crafted from durable steel and built to last. From T-Rex to Triceratops, each profile was precision-cut and carefully installed in the school’s outdoor space, creating a prehistoric playground backdrop that captured the imagination of pupils, staff, and visitors alike.

These dino-themed additions weren’t just fun—they became a key part of St Wystan’s creative garden entry, adding both visual impact and a unique talking point for the judges of Repton in Bloom.

A Roarsome Collaboration with Young Artists

While the engineering and fabrication were handled by our team here at Acres, we have to give full credit to the young artists at St Wystan’s, who brought the silhouettes to life with their incredible hand-painted designs. Each dinosaur was transformed through bright colours, inventive patterns, and bold brushwork, reflecting the enthusiasm and creativity of the students.

The end result? A vibrant, interactive display that not only showcases local talent but also proves how engineering and art can come together to create something truly special.
