GB News Filming onsite at Acres
Acres welcomed Will Hollis from GB News to discuss the vote to elect the first-ever East Midlands Mayor in May.
Will was interested to hear, what an elected Mayor could mean for businesses like Acres Engineering across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Acres Engineering Ltd based in Melbourne Derbyshire, design and manufacture custom production support equipment which is used by the world’s leading manufacturing companies. Acres work across numerous industries including automotive, supercars, rail, aerospace, energy and food/drink. Acres products include kitting media, containerisation, access platforms, lifting equipment, stillages, work benches, semi-automated machines etc. Acres products are used to:
· Improve process productivity,
· Ensure the quality and protection of their products,
· Deliver continual improvement,
· Reduce H&S risks in their manufacturing environment to ensure processes and equipment is as safe as possible.
Acres is committed to corporate social responsibility and they have been awarded an Armed Forces Gold Award.
As part of Apprentice Week 2024, Will also spoke to one of Acres Fabricator Apprentices who gave her view on why apprenticeships are important and the benefit of them.
