Safety first as Acres help GK Automotive gain new perspex-tive

A Derby automotive repair and service specialist is putting safety first thanks to a donation from Acres Engineering.

GK Automotive based on Stores Road’s Derby Trading Estate was formed in 2016 by Duncan Gosling and Tim Kelsall, two friends that, having previously worked together in the automotive industry, wanted to bring a different way of thinking to car servicing & car repairs in Derby. Both have a fanatical eye for detail and a passion for quality service that has seen them step out from the corporate sector to achieve a dream of delivering the same quality of service in the independent sector.

That passion for excellence means they are also keeping a close eye on the safety of staff and customers alike, so when the Acres team found out about their need for some perspex sheeting to safeguard the site, they were only too happy to help.

Luke Parker, Managing Director at Acres Engineering said;

‘We are donating a safety screen to this fantastic local company as a small token to help them get back up and running swiftly and most importantly, safely. Like many others, the Automotive industry has been hit hard by the effects of Covid-19 and this will hopefully help Duncan and Tim and the GK team a little.’

GK Automotive’s Tim Kelsall commented;

‘We’re really grateful to Acres Engineering for supplying us with the material needed to create a safety screen in our reception area. It is amazing to see and experience a local business lending a hand in these unusual times and it will enable us to more safely serve our customers.’
