Science Without Borders 2016

Last week we said farewell and Good Luck to Guilherme and Lucas after another successful Science Without Borders programme.

The science without borders initiative allows successful candidates from Brazil to study on a sandwich year abroad with a UK university. Following 9 months of teaching the students complete a 12 week industry placement putting everything they have learned into practice.

Acres have been involved in the scheme for the past three years. This year we had two students working with us from the University of Derby. During the past few months they have successfully completed a number of business development projects aimed at improving our quote delivery, lead times and quality.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Lucas and Guilherme for all of their hard work over the past weeks.

Guilherme and Lucas will be heading back to their third and final years at University in Brazil. The team here at Acres would like to wish them the best of luck in their studies.
