Shining at the Spain and Southern Europe Roadshow

Representatives from Acres Engineering attended the Spain and Southern Europe Roadshow aimed at connecting businesses with opportunities across Southern Europe.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) played a great role in bringing together Commercial Officers from five Southern European markets to host 1-2-1 meetings.

The 1-2-1 meetings created an opportunity to introduce Acres subsidiary company, Acres Engineering Europe S.L.. Acres Engineering Europe S.L is based in Spain and ran by Managing Director Alejandro de Castro offering design services along with product supply.

Steve Morrison, International Trade Adviser for Department for Business and Trade was at the event. Steve has been exceptionally pro-active in helping businesses like Acres Engineering embrace export opportunities and connecting the business with appropriate avenues of support and funding.

Markets in attendance:

Italy: Italy is one of the UK’s closest trading partners and biggest export markets, and presents significant opportunities for UK businesses. Portugal: Located on the western edge of the Iberian peninsula, Portugal is a good market for UK exporters. Anchored by the world’s oldest bilateral alliance trade links are strong, particularly within the tourism industry and expat communities. See here for more information.

Spain: Spain is located in Southwestern Europe and borders France and Portugal. It is one of the biggest consumer markets in the EU and with a population of 46.4 million it provides a large consumer base for UK exporters to sell to.
