Strengthening Defence Partnerships: Attending the East Midlands Regional Engagement Event 2026

On Thursday 11th June, Acres Engineering proudly represented at the East Midlands Regional Engagement (RED) Event, hosted by the East Midlands Reserve Forces & Cadets Association (RFCA)

This invitation-only event brought together business leaders and advocates from across the region who are actively championing members of the Defence community through initiatives such as the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) and the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (DERS).

With keynote presentations from respected speakers including Commodore Tim Green RN ADC, the day offered insights into the evolving Defence landscape and the vital role that employers play in supporting serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and their families.

With speakers including Colin Ellis from the Cyber Resilience Centre, Lt Col Emma Allen MBE from the East Midlands University Officers’ Training Corps, Air commodore Gavin Hellard CBE VR delivering an RAF Reserves update and many more throughout the day.

And a keynote speech from Major General John Kendall VR DL – Deputy Commander Land Forces.
