At Acres Engineering, we were honoured to welcome Stuart Williams OBE, Chief Executive of the East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (EMRFCA), to our facility. This visit was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to supporting the armed forces, discuss the initiatives we have underway, and explore ways we can strengthen our partnership with the defence community in the future.

We have actively sought ways to give back to those who serve and protect our country. Hosting Stuart Williams was a meaningful step in solidifying our ongoing commitment.
We were also thrilled to discuss our achievements with the Gold Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Covenant Award. This award stands as a testament to our dedication to supporting ex-service personnel and reservists and promoting their value within our workforce. Achieving the Gold Award is a significant milestone, highlighting our commitment to going above and beyond in our support for the armed forces community.
Highlights from the Visit
During the visit, Stuart Williams was given a tour of our facilities, where he met with our team members and saw firsthand the impact of our initiatives. We showcased several projects that embody our dedication to quality, precision, and innovation—values we know resonate strongly with the armed forces. Stuart shared insights on the EMRFCA’s mission to support reserve forces and cadet units across the region, helping us understand how our efforts align with broader initiatives within the military community.
The conversation covered various topics, including the importance of promoting the armed forces as a valuable talent pool and the benefits of supporting reservists within our workforce. Future Opportunities
