Bidders wanted for £400m modular framework

rocure Plus, a not-for-profit residential procurement company, is seeking bidders for a new £400m modular housing framework set to run for four years.

The Manchester-based body, which usually focuses on works in the North West, said the framework will be used for the offsite manufacturing and building of housing across the UK. Proposed sites for the works, in a notice posted yesterday, include the North East and North West, Cumbria, Yorkshire and the Humber, the Midlands, the South and London, and Wales.

Contractors appointed to the framework agreement will be required to design and manufacture the houses, as well as acting as main contractor for the completion of the works. The notice did not state how many homes will be constructed across the framework.

Procure Plus will appoint 10 companies to the framework and firms have until 2 September to register their interest.

In 2015, Procure Plus launched an £830m housing and commercial development framework as part of a consortium with framework providers Efficiency North and Central Housing Consortium.
