175 years of Railways in Derby Celebration Service
Acres attended the celebration of 175 years of Railways in Derby service today at the Cathedral Church of All Saints Derby.
The celebration began with the entrance of a miniature locomotive railway travelling through the centre of the cathedral.
The Rt Hon Patrick McLouglin, Secretary of State for Transport delivered the address which was extremely relevant and a fitting conclusion to the 175 years events.
The final hymn “one more step along the world I go” closed the service on a high note. It was great to see such a good turnout for the event!
Well done to DDRF, Colin Walton and the Very Revd Dr John Davies DL, Dean of Derby for hosting.
