Acres Engineering are experts in the design and development of workshop and depot equipment such as tool management systems. The Acres tool chest is just an example of our capabilities.
This tool chest has been manufactured from 2mm CNC formed, CR4 mild steel and features a roller shutter door, In and out lockable drawers with 100% extension and a fully riveted body. The chest also features soft rubber wheels to reduce vibration when manoeuvring. The tool chest is fully customisable with logos and colour requested by the customer.
This solution is Lean from the DFMA perspective. Designed to maximise material yield from a minimal number of 2mm standard size sheets. To make this unit lean for the operator, the tool chest features custom foam panels. These can be designed and cut based around the specific tools the operator wants in each drawer / each tool chest, and in order of use, also colour coded.
This project was led by our Designer Alejandro, with the support of the rest of our in-house design team. Our talented team of design engineers have extensive Solidworks experience, including certifications in both the professional and expert level.
The tool chest has been assembled and powder coated in house.

These features make the way this unit has been designed really efficient and effective.
Each panel has been carefully Powder Coated in house using orange Ral2000.
The top, handlebar and drawers are powder coated black Ral9005 to compliment the orange.
