Local Fundraiser at Melbourne Infant School
Supporting a future generation of apprentices!
Acres Engineering are supporting a local fundraiser for Melbourne Infant School.
Patrick who is one of our apprentices was delighted to hand over the donation of £100 to go towards subscriptions for essential learning resources for the children.
We are pulling together to help the school enhance the learning experience of all children. Why? Because we believe it is so important that the children benefit from the important learning tools from a young age to get the best chance at growing into something great… who knows, they may just be our future engineers!4
Here’s how you can support:
The school have booked Happy’s Circus for an event on 5th May 2020. They are the market leaders in providing professional Circus entertainment to Schools with an amazing reputation and their shows are always very well attended. The Big Top seats 600 so tickets are available! There will be stall holders offering a wide range of pre-show activities which will also be available during the 30 minute interval when the PTA also aim to sell as much as possible.
The Circus will form the learning theme for the spring term at school, and will be complemented by a series of workshops and learning with circus based themes, including creative writing, maths (distance and time) science (gravity and static), history and geography.
Funds raised at the event will be used to pay for subscriptions for essential electronic learning resources including Bug Club, Phonics Play, Spelling Shed and the Early Years Foundation learning tool. The PTA raises funds every year to pay for these important learning tools.
