Scope of work:
Design and manufacture a Mould Manipulator that interfaces with the cruciform on a wax assembly plate to Drawing number 2012-03-9088.
The manipulator will lift moulds between the Large Chill Wax Assembly Transport Unit (ref: 2011-10-8755), Assembly Storage Racking (ref: 2012-01-8890) and MTC Interchangeable Topset Trolley (ref: 2012-01-8954). The lift and lower operation are powered by a manually operated hydraulic ram fitted with a flow control for more control when lifting and lowering.
The Cruciform holder can also rotate and lock in position at 180 degree intervals to allow the mould to be turned upside down. The assembly is mounted on 160mm dia castors 2 off fixed and 2 off swivel with brakes. The large diameter wheels allow the Mould Manipulator to be moved easily under load.
