2013-07-10160 – Side Wall Jig Trolley and Bogie

Side wall jig trolley and bogie design.

The trolley carries the side wall jig bogie from the mould area to the blast enclosure reducing the use of lifting equipment and saving space. The trolley is fabricated from 40mm x 40mm box section for the main frame and has 25mm round mild steel guide rails which interface with the guide rails in the blast enclosure. It has locating guides to accurately align the rails and a foot operated locking hook to hold the trolley safely in position while pushing the bogie into the enclosure.

The bogie is held in place on the trolley with hand operated stop bars on each of the rear wheels. To manoeuvre the trolley it has been fitted with 150mm diameter castors 2 off fixed and 2 off swivel and braked which can also be locked when loading and off-loading the bogie. Each castor has red tyred white nylon centred wheels with a load rating of 350 Kg.

The bogie is fabricated from 75mm x 75mm angle with 90 degree edge facing upwards to prevent the blasting media collecting on any flat section of material. The rotating top section and (F207) bearings are reused from the original bogie to reduce costs. The wheels on the bogie are machined to fit the guide rails and feature sealed bearings with cover washers to protect them from the blasting process.

Also included is a locating guide and locking hook plate which are fitted to the base of the blasting machine.

Approximate overall size of trolley – 880mm (H) x 850mm (L) x 750mm (W).

Both the trolley and bogie are load tested to 300 kg SWL.

They are finished in RAL 3001 Signal Red
