C-Class Trolley

Drawing Number: AD-455-2014-06-4

Scope

We manufactured 12 x C-Class trolley for the customer’s shop floor to enhance efficiency, organisation, and material handling. The product is used for storing and moving containers with C-Class parts contained. The design offers durability, manoeuvrability, and the capacity to transport goods and tools seamlessly across the workspace. By customising the trolley to meet the shop floor’s specific requirements, we ensure improved workflow, reduced downtime, and a safer working environment, ultimately boosting overall productivity.

Solution

Project REF: AD-455-2014-06-4 / 12906-P1

Why would a customer require a set of C-Class Trollies? Here are the key reasons below:

1. Improved Efficiency & Workflow

  • Reduces time spent searching for tools and parts by keeping everything mobile and organised.
  • Enables workers to move multiple items at once, reducing unnecessary trips.
  • Helps streamline production processes, ensuring tools and materials are available when needed.

2. Enhanced Organisation

  • Keeps tools and components in a dedicated space, reducing clutter on workbenches.
  • Allows for categorised storage (e.g., fasteners, precision tools, electronic components).
  • Can include custom tool slots or foam inserts to prevent loss or misplacement of critical equipment.

3. Increased Safety

  • Prevents accidents caused by tools left scattered on surfaces or the floor.
  • Reduces the risk of damage to delicate parts by providing secure storage and shock-absorbing surfaces.
  • Lockable wheels keep the trolley stable when in use.

4. Flexibility & Mobility

  • Easily moves between workstations, ensuring tools and materials are available where needed.
  • Can be customised for different shop floor needs, such as ESD-safe trolleys for electronics or heavy-duty trolleys for aerospace and automotive parts.

5. Space Optimisation

  • Utilises vertical storage with multiple shelves to maximise shopfloor space.
  • Can be designed to fit under workbenches or alongside machines for easy access.

Tooling trolleys play a vital role in industries that require efficiency, organisation, and mobility for tools and parts. They are used in aerospace, automotive, engineering, construction, logistics, healthcare, rail, electronics, defence, and food processing. Each industry has unique needs, such as ESD protection for electronics, FOD prevention in aerospace, and hygienic designs for medical and food sectors. These trolleys enhance productivity, safety, and workflow efficiency, making them an essential asset across various work environments.

Trolleys enhance workplace safety by reducing risks related to manual handling, clutter, and inefficient workflows:

  1. Minimising Lifting Injuries – Reduces strain from heavy lifting, lowering the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
  2. Preventing Clutter & Trip Hazards – Keeps tools and materials organized, preventing accidents.
  3. Ensuring Secure Transport – Stable shelving, safety rails, and anti-slip surfaces prevent spills and damage.
  4. Enhancing Ergonomics – Ergonomic handles and smooth-rolling, lockable wheels improve worker comfort.
  5. Supporting High-Risk Environments – Features like ESD protection, FOD prevention, and fire-resistant materials ensure safety in specialized industries.

By reducing strain, improving organization, and securing materials, trolleys create a safer, more efficient manufacturing environment. Investing in industry-specific safety features further enhances protection.
