Scope of work:
Design and manufacture a custom tooling fixture dereeler frame to allow drums of electrical cable to be easily de-reeled at a convenient and ergonomic height for the operator.
This product has been designed to carry up to 2 off reels of various widths and diameters at various take off heights. This keeps the required footprint to a minimum and speeds up cable changeover time.
The cable dereeler frame is a prime example of a 5s improvement, bringing lean principles into the manufacturing environment. The product has been designed to be used when assembling wiring looms, or running cables during installations.
The dereeler could be used for any type of drum and can be manufactured to suit different sizes/quantities of drums.
The main frame and base of the unit has been fabricated from 50mm x 50mm angle. It features adjustable height hooks to accommodate various size reels at different heights.
The assembly has been powder coated to give a hard wearing, durable finish.
