This product demonstrates a commitment to quality, protecting your products/ tooling/ components to ensure that your manufacturing process is safe, efficient, and right the first time. Workplace safety and ergonomics are important in all manufacturing environments and Acres ensures your equipment is always fit for purpose.
A customer from the aerospace industry came to us for a custom-designed racking solution that needed to store a selection of items. Acres explored that if stored correctly then all items should be capable of being stored in three racks. All racks were to be under 2.5 m tall. An insert for the shelf was designed to accommodate the protrusion included on certain items. While also, supporting the body of the unit. The shelving needed to be 100% fully extendable for loading and unloading purposes.
This product is widely adaptable and can be utilised across a range of industries including defence, rail, automotive, power generation, food & drink, and general manufacturing. The inserts can be supplied in different materials ranging from wood to plastic and foam. Also, the inserts can be profiled to suit each client’s requirements using our in-house water jet cutting machine. This machine accurately cuts shapes to house components, tooling, or products. In this example, the insert was manufactured from wood with a rubber lining to provide a non-slip, non-metal to the metal contact surface.
