Construction foundation fiddles are used to set the angle of formwork, slab, or other structural elements during foundation work. These tools would typically sit on or be anchored to the slab and allow for precise adjustments to ensure that the angles, alignment, and levels are correct before the concrete is poured or as part of other foundation-related activities. In this case, the fiddles are placed on a slab, to support and stabilise construction components ensuring the foundation is properly aligned during the installation of pylons.

Correct angles, alignment, and levels during foundation work are essential for structural stability, safety, compliance with building codes, and long-term durability of a structure. Mistakes made at this stage can have a cascading effect, leading to serious issues later in the building’s lifecycle, including structural failure, aesthetic defects, and increased maintenance costs. Getting these foundational elements right helps ensure the success of the entire construction project.
