Scope
We manufactured a lifting tool trolley for our customer to enhance their operational efficiency and ensure safer handling of heavy equipment. The custom solution was designed to reduce manual lifting, minimise workplace injuries, and improve overall productivity in their workflow. By tailoring the trolley to their specific requirements, we were able to provide a practical and reliable tool that supports their daily operations more effectively.

Project REF: AD-2747-2025-01-1 / 12976-P1
A lifting tooling trolley is used to safely transport, position, and support heavy tools, components, or machinery parts within a workshop, manufacturing facility, or maintenance area. Its main purposes include:
- Reducing manual handling of heavy or awkward tools, minimising the risk of injury.
- Assisting with lifting or aligning tooling during assembly, disassembly, or maintenance work.
- Improving mobility, making it easier to move tools between workstations or machines.
- Enhancing efficiency by keeping tools organised and readily accessible during operations.
Some lifting tooling trolleys may also come with hydraulic or mechanical lifting mechanisms, adjustable platforms, or custom fittings to suit specific tools or processes.
Here are the key benefits of a lifting tooling trolley:
-
Improved Safety
- Reduces the risk of manual lifting injuries and strain by assisting with heavy or awkward loads.
- Promotes better ergonomics in the workplace.
-
Increased Efficiency
- Speeds up tool handling, positioning, and transport during operations.
- Minimises downtime by making tools readily accessible and easy to move.
-
Enhanced Mobility
- Allows smooth transportation of tools and components between work areas or machines.
-
Better Tool Management
- Keeps tools organised and reduces the risk of damage or misplacement.
-
Versatility
- Can be designed or customised to suit specific tooling sizes, weights, or applications.
- Often includes lifting mechanisms (hydraulic or mechanical) to assist in tool positioning.
-
Cost Savings
- Reduces labour effort and time spent on manual handling tasks.
- Helps prevent tool or equipment damage due to improper handling.
-
Consistency and Precision
- Assists in accurate alignment or placement of heavy tooling during assembly or maintenance processes.
A lifting tooling trolley can be utilised across a wide range of industries where the safe handling and transportation of heavy tools, components, or equipment is essential. In the manufacturing sector, it is commonly used for moving and positioning heavy dies, molds, or machine parts during both production and maintenance processes.
Within the automotive industry, lifting trolleys play a vital role in assembly lines, workshops, and service centres, assisting with the handling of engine parts, tools, or subassemblies.
In aerospace applications, they are used for the precise handling of specialised tools, aircraft components, and maintenance equipment.
Engineering and fabrication environments benefit from their ability to transport and align heavy tools, fixtures, or fabricated components.
The mining and heavy equipment industry relies on lifting tooling trolleys to manage and move large tools and parts required for machinery servicing.
Similarly, in the oil and gas or broader energy sector, these trolleys assist in the handling of specialised tooling during maintenance and field operations.
In the rail and transport industry, they support maintenance activities involving heavy components and equipment. Additionally, warehousing and logistics operations utilise lifting tooling trolleys to safely and efficiently move tools, equipment, or components throughout storage and operational areas.
Acres have a range of standard products but also support clients with custom machinery and medium-high volume products such as trolleys, stillages etc.
We have manufactured lots of different tables / workstations / workbenches for various industries.
We also manufacture access platforms, jigs and fixtures and many other types of production support solutions / products.
