Manhole cover lifter

Scope

We created a set of manhole cover lifters for our customer specifically for ‘Air-side’ use at both commercial and military airports to assist both safety and efficiency in their operations where they need to regularly and quickly lift very large & heavy manhole / inspection covers. Manhole covers can be extremely heavy and difficult to maneuver, often requiring significant physical effort and posing risks of injury to workers. By designing custom lifters tailored to the specific sizes and types of covers they use, we’ve made it much easier and safer for their teams to access underground utilities.

Our solution not only reduces the risk of back strain and other injuries but also speeds up the process of lifting and replacing the covers, which is extremely important when working on a live airstrip, runway, taxiway or apron . The customised design ensures compatibility with their equipment and work environments, offering a practical and durable tool that meets their everyday operational needs, and the durable RAL 1023 yellow powder coat finish aids in visibility from personnel in vehicles and aircraft.
