Off-Cut Materials Storage Rack – Job Ref: 7600
The off-cut materials storage rack has been designed and manufactured for a midlands based Aerospace OEM for the storage of ground stock steels and offcut materials.
The rack’s frame has been manufactured from a combination of 50mm x 50mm x 3mm and 30mm x 30mm x 3mm Mild Steel box section, with 1.2mm sheet steel side and back infill panels.

The top shelf has 7 compartments, manufactured from 1.2mm steel sheet, for storing ground stock steels 1-6mm up to 25mm+. The next 2 levels contain 8 drawers manufactured from pressed 1.2mm steel sheet and fitted with heavy duty drawer slides at 190mm (W) x 480mm (L) x 150mm (W) in size, these will hold various material offcuts e.g. brass, copper, nylon, aluminium.
The remainder of the rack is split equally for the storage of larger or heavier materials / items.
The top of the unit features a 4mm shelf with a lip produced from 50 x 3mm flat around the top to retain smaller items.
A gap of 100mm has been left at the bottom so the rack can be positioned / moved using a pallet truck.
Mild Steel parts have been powder coated in RAL 9001 – Ivory to provide a hard wearing durable finish.
