PMI storage frames

Scope:

The customer has requested the manufacture and supply of PMI storage frames, which will be mounted onto an existing workbench to securely accommodate six PMI units. The design consists of two separate frames—a top frame and a bottom frame—ensuring both functionality and structural integrity.

The top frame will be constructed from 40×40 box section with overall dimensions of 2560mm (W) x 700mm (D) x 160mm (H). A laminate worktop will be fitted to the top of the frame, featuring six evenly spaced 350mm diameter holes designed to hold six PMI units, each weighing 25KG (totaling 150KG). To enhance rigidity and prevent flexing, box section bracing will be incorporated between each hole.

The bottom frame will be positioned beneath the existing workbench to provide additional support for the added weight. It will also be manufactured from 40×40 box section and will have dimensions of 1460mm (W) x 700mm (D) x 895mm (H). This frame will be designed to reinforce the structure, ensuring it can safely support the total load of 150KG while maintaining stability and durability.

These storage frames are designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing workbench while providing a secure and efficient solution for storing PMI units.
