Politics on the move
Last Thursday morning, Luke and Alison Parker travelled to London with Heather Wheeler MP. Their trip was centered around all things manufacturing with a specific focus on the current state of trade, apprenticeships and STEM activities. As well as discussing some of the recent events we’ve been involved in such as National Manufacturing Day and TechxFest.
As a Conservative MP for South Derbyshire, Heather also represents the UK in Cambodia and Laos encouraging and facilitating bilateral trade. Whilst, doing everything she can to ensure that South Derbyshire continues to thrive. She wants to see young people (including those challenged with mental health issues or learning disabilities) be given the opportunity to be educated to the highest standard.
During the meeting, Luke outlined the types of solutions and services that Acres Engineering Ltd could offer. Benefitting from 15 years of exporting experience and 30% of its trade being exported around the globe, Acres is in a strong position to offer custom-engineered machines and added-value solutions to these regions.
