Gold recognition for the University and College for their outstanding teaching excellence

The University of Derby and Derby College Group have achieved gold status in recognition of their excellence in teaching.

Both organizations earned gold rankings in the esteemed Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023, a nationwide initiative administered by the Office for Students. This initiative is designed to motivate higher education institutions to enhance and excel in the aspects that matter most to students: teaching, learning, and achieving favorable results in their educational pursuits.

Besides attaining an overall gold rating, the University of Derby was honoured with gold accolades for student experience and silver recognition for student outcomes. Meanwhile, Derby College Group achieved an overall silver rating, with an additional silver award for student experience and gold recognition for student outcomes.
