The 04 wardrobe roof rack has been designed to mount directly to existing 04 wardrobes used on site at a large midlands based Aerospace OEM. The wardrobes are used to store and transport components within the build area of gas turbine engines however it was identified that additional space was needed for larger parts which were being stored on top of the unit.
The solution has been designed as a stand alone roof rack unit that can be retro fitted to the 04 modules produced by Acres. The unit has been manufactured from 6mm HDPE300 in Acres plastic fabrication facility and features a front hinged door with two index plungers to ensure the door closes securely. HDPE has been chosen to avoid any potential metal to metal contact with components and to remove any risk of FOD (foreign object debris).
