2012-08-9505 – Buildpack43 Transport Trolley

Manufacture Build pack 43 Transport Trolley to drawing 2012-08-9505.

The main framework of the trolleys will be manufactured from 25mm x 25mm box section and 25mm x 25mm angle for the drawer runners.

The outside of the unit will be fitted with 3mm thick black polyethylene panels and the 2 x doors will consist of an angle frame fitted with clear polycarbonate which allow the parts in the unit to be visible. For the purpose of the sample/ trial Acres will clad two of the outside panels with 1.2mm mild steel.

The design features 23 off drawers will be fabricated from 6mm thick polyethylene sheet that will be profile cut on a CNC punch, folded and welded. The polyethylene will provide non metal to metal contact to all components. For the purpose of the sample/ trial Acres will manufacture half of these drawers from 1.5mm mild steel.

The trolley will be assembled with 4 off 125mm castors with blue elastic tyres and black plastic centres, 2 off swivel with brakes and 2 off fixed will enable the unit to be maneuverer, it also features fork lift truck pockets for lifting. These will be the same as the A Frame design in order to maintain standardisation.
