Arbor Storage Rack Modifications

The customer had a number of Arbor Storage racks on site which were no longer being used due to being an old wooden design which had worn over time. Acres were tasked with modifying these old arbor storage racks to bring them in line with the newer improved Acres design.

The scope of work was as follows:
– Modify footprint from 1 meter wide to the smaller new standard of 600mm wide.
– Replace wooden arbor holders to nylon arbor holders to the new offset arbor layout.
– Upgrade old castors to 125mm non marking blue rubber swivel with brake castors.

The approach was as follows:
> Remove units from site and deliver to Acres.
> Strip castors, remove existing base frame and remove 2mm trays.
> Fabricate a new base from 40x40x3mm square box section at 600mm x 1350mm.
> Fabricate 2 off new base trays from 1.2mm mild steel sheet at 280mm x 1350mm.
> Re-Powdercoat to RAL 20D45 Blue.
> Assemble Nylon & Castors.
> Return the solution to site.
