Assembly Turnover Manipulator

The turnover manipulator has been designed to assist with the assembly operation of a complex electrical panel. Our solution gives full access allowing 360 degree rotation and has set indexing lock points to hold it in position for assembly. Acres can easily change the size of this point as well as its mounting points to make it a solution for your production process challenge. Scope of work:

Design and manufacture a turnover manipulator to drawing number AD-552-2014-09

The manipulation trolley frame has been manufactured from 25mm x 25mm x 3mm box section. The unit features pillar block bearings for smooth rotation and index pins to lock it in the required orientation for build up.

A 1″ circular hollow section handle has been fitted to the frame to allow easy movement of the trolley around the site. The assembly is mounted on 4 off castor wheels, 2 fixed and 2 swivel with brakes.

Approximate overall size – 1180mm (L) x 700mm (W) x 965mm to the centre rotation point.
