C4 Tooling Single Rack

The C4 Tooling Single Rack has been designed and manufactured for a Midlands based aerospace company for use within their fitting shop. The rack will store the operators tooling which means that all the tooling is kept together and every knows where there tooling is.

The unit has been manufactured from 50mm x 50mm box section for the main framework. The frame work is manufactured from a thin walled box section to provide an optimum strength vs weight solution. On the top of the framework, there is a mild steel plate to stop any debris collecting in the drawers. The unit also features bolt holes in the framework so that the unit can be bolted down.

The unit will feature 3 drawers to store the tooling which have been bolted in to place with drawer slides. On the drawer, there is a handle which allows the operator to open the drawers easily. On the front of the unit there are catches which stop the drawers from coming out when they are not in use.

On the top of the unit and in the base of the drawers there are rubber sheets which stops metal to metal contact with the tools and stops the tools from getting damaged.

The unit has been powder coated in BS4800 – 20 D 45 Blue to provide a hard wearing, long lasting finish.
