Modification work to existing SGT300 HP Nozzle Removal Fixture – REF: 2015-07-11837
We recently completed a modification and refurbishment project for a leading gas turbine engine manufacturer.
Project scope:
> Make laser cut plates with the correct hole centres as detailed on client drawings
>Straighten all the bent and deformed spacer bars and support bar.
> Open all fixing holes out to between 11.00 and 12.00mm and the 9.mm to 10.00mm when the fixing holes are aligned with the laser cut templates.
> Replace the missing nut to the rear of the turn screw and captivate the nut via welding, check all other nuts are in place.
> Remove the stand legs approx. 5.00mm above the weld and manufacture insert to re-join the two parts, drill and attach using pit pins and lanyards for retention.
> Re-proof test to the required 195kg.
> Clean tool and touch up where necessary.
