An enquiry arose to provide a solution for the storage and security of customers’ tools and parts.

Specification for the product required protection for the tools from corrosion, allowing them to be easily accessed and visually identified. Also needs to be secure to prevent parts from being removed without authorisation.

To reduce the time it takes to identify specific parts, Acres Engineering designed the Kit Box as a lockable pull-out drawer system featuring a front roller shutter door. The drawers housed coloured foam trays which had identity-labeled cut-outs to suit each individual part. Zipped, anti-corrosion bags enclosed the foam to secure the tools from rust and damage.
