Lathe Fixture Racking

The Lathe Fixture Racking have been manufactured for a subsidiary of a leading aerospace company to easily store parts off of the build line.

The main framework has been manufactured from 50mm x 50mm box section with a thin wall to provide an optimum strength vs weight solution. The unit also features a shelf which is manufactured from 30mm x 30mm angle and weldmesh to allow the operator to store loose components. The unit has mild steel plates with holes in to allow the units to be bolted to the floor. The unit has a thin mild steel sheet on each side which has slots in. This allows the dividers to be re-positioned.

The unit features mild steel dividers which have been plastic coating to stop metal to metal contact with the parts. The dividers have slots in them which allows them to be lifted and moved into a different position according to the size of the parts.

The unit has two bars on it which the parts sit on when they are not in the build line, this has been covered with a rigid rubber pipe which stops the parts from getting damaged and prevents metal to metal contact.

The unit has been powder coated in White to provide a hard wearing, long lasting finish.
