Our customer asked us to manufacture a modular access platform for their specific needs.
Scope
Movable modular access platform, featuring castors for easy manual handling and wind-down foot pads for stability when in use.
The “Modular” design of this platform, whereby the stairs can detach from the main platform means that the stairs can be attached in 2 different positions, or if required the platform can be expanded with new sections.
Constructed from sturdy box-section steel and powder coated RAL1023 yellow
Solution
Project REF: AD-2936-2025-11-1 / 13513-P1
🔧 Flexibility & Versatility
-
Easy to reposition where the work is, whether that’s along a production line or across different machines.
-
Adaptable to multiple tasks and positions, reducing the need for fixed scaffolding or custom structures.
⏱️ Improved Productivity
-
Quick setup and teardown compared to scaffolding.
-
Workers spend more time doing the job and less time getting access sorted.
🛡️ Enhanced Safety
-
Provide stable, guarded working surfaces (handrails, toe boards, non-slip decks).
-
Reduce risky alternatives like ladders or makeshift platforms.
💸 Cost Efficiency
-
Lower long-term cost than permanent platforms when access needs change.
-
One platform can serve multiple locations or assets, improving ROI.
🏭 Minimal Disruption to Operations
-
Can be moved without shutting down large areas of the plant.
-
Ideal for live maintenance or short interventions on equipment.
📐 Ergonomic Benefits
-
Allow workers to operate at the correct working height, reducing strain, fatigue, and injury risk.
-
Better posture leads to better-quality work.
🔄 Scalability & Modularity
-
Many systems are modular, so you can add height, width, or accessories as needs evolve.
-
Future-proof for layout or process changes in manufacturing environments.
