The preload station has been designed and manufactured for a local midlands based aerospace client providing additional work areas within the new area of the precision machining facility.

The preload station’s framework has been assembled from 40mm x 40mm heavy-duty extruded aluminium profile with 1.2mm sheet steel trays and panels.

The upper section of the interior framework of the station features angle runners for blade trays and a drawer to hold 1 off blade tray. The lower section features a pull out frame on drawer slides to load discs onto for storage, next to this 2 off pull out shelves with locating holes to receive Erowa pins. All drawers and shelves pull out to 100 % extension to allow full access to parts.

The main work area has a 40mm deep removable tray and fixing points for a Loading Tower. A bracket to hold Erowa chucks has been fitted to the work area.

The rear up stand has been manufactured from mild steel and powder coated to give a – durable finish and features an inclined lectern with a 30mm front upturned edge to prevent parts falling off. A shelf fitted to the up stand will carry the Tech pack. The incline lectern section has been covered in 3mm rubber to prevent metal to metal contact.

The units have been powder coated in Sapphire Blue BS 4800 20-D-45 to give a hard-wearing durable finish.
