Produce CAD drawings and manufacture Sizewell Rotor Support Stands to drawing number 2012-11-9701.
The stands (2 off) will locate the Rotor Assembly and allow it to rotate through 360 degrees so it can be easily accessed to aid manufacture.
They will be fabricated from 15mm mild steel plate which will be laser cut to shape and fully welded for strength. Each stand will feature 2 off 300mm diameter heavy duty nylon wheels fitted with ball bearings which the rotor shaft will sit on. To lock the wheels in position and stop them rotating a heavy duty lever operated toggle clamp will be fitted to one of the stands. The stands will also have lifting eyes so they can be moved via an overhead crane.
Each stand will be load tested to give a 15000kg SWL.
