As part of an ongoing relationship with Hoppecke Batterien, Acres produce a number of bespoke fork-truck battery changing units to suit customer requirements. Our product has improved incrementally over the years giving our designers and fabricators a wealth of experience to tackle almost any request.
The Acres PU powered battery changing unit is fixed to a PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) providing a fast and efficient mobile battery changing solution for 24 hour warehouse operations. The PU is powered by a hydraulic power pack which, in partnership with a pair of powerful magnets exchanges batteries between fork trucks and battery charging racks.
The SPU design provides a cost effective solution for use on sites where a range of standard battery sizes are used.
Acres are currently exporting custom machines to Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Holland, Slovakia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, South Africa and China as well as serving the UK.

The SPU product range is designed to handle:
>24v Standard batteries
>80v Forklift batteries
>Reach truck batteries (SPU 1250 only)
SPU Specification:
>Electrically powered with a 24 volt DC motor.
>The bed will have oil impregnated nylon glide strips which will aid the battery transfer.
>Proximity safety switches (front and back) to avoid carriage overrun/ mechanical overload.
>The battery is held in position by the friction of the nylon slides, this machine does not have a battery mast.
The SPU features a stop at the front of the transfer bed to reduce the risk of the battery sliding off the machine.
The front stop is also interlocked to reduce the risk of the machine being operated incorrectly (battery in position).
>Clamping system is provided to connect the SPU to the PPT (avoiding the loss of warranty on the PPT).
>Side mounted pendant to control the machine.
>Complies with all H&S/ EN regulations
