Tool Drawer Unit – Ref Number: 2015-08-11889
The tool drawer unit has been designed for a major multinational aerospace OEM to safely house tooling used in the engine production process.
Scope of work:
Visit site to evaluate customer requirements, produce CAD drawings, manufacture and supply 3 off Tool Drawer Units.
The drawer unit has been fabricated from 40mm x 40mm x 3mm box section for the main outer frame and 2mm laser cut mild steel sheet for the drawer assemblies.
The solution incorporates three drawers which feature 100% extension drawer slides to enable full access to the tooling stored within. The base of each of the 3 drawers has a rubber inlay to prevent damage to the parts.
To maneuverer the trolley it has been fitted with 160mm diameter castors with blue elastic non marking tyres, 2 off fixed and 2 off swivel with brakes.
The unit has been powder coated in Blue BS 4800 20D45 to give a long-lasting and hard-wearing finish.
