Our customer asked us to manufacture a set of 12 custom build frames for their large clocks.
Scope
We were approached by Smith of Derby, a world renowned clock maker that specialise in building and restoring large public clocks, to build a set of 12 “Build Frames”
The design was to incorporate pins and fixtures for securely attaching the clock movement to the build frame, on a sturdy base. The frames feature wheels for manual handling, a well as forklift pockets and lifting eyes, these can be used for storage and transport as well as during the build / refurbishment.
Built from mild steel and powder-coated RAL 9005 black.
