Flat Bed Frame Trolley

Drawing Number: AD-306-2013-10

Flat Bed Frame Trolley – REF 2016-11-13115

The flat bed frame trolley has been manufactured for an international Aerospace engine manufacturer for use within the NPD department of their blade manufacturing facility.

The trolley has been made from 25 x 25mm mild steel box section frame with a 2mm formed mild steel sheet top. Above this sits an 18mm plywood board with 6mm rubber top to prevent any metal to metal contact. A formed CHS handle has been included at either end with 4 off 150mm castors, 2 fixed and 2 swivel for manoeuvrability.

This design features an interchangeable top so that the contact surface can be exchanged with either a replacement due to wear or a ‘special’ top design to suit specific components or processes.  This top sheet is mounted to the frame via 8 off sprung bolts to minimise vibration in the trolley during transit.

This trolley design has been used extensively in the Precision Casting Facility of a large Midlands based Aerospace OEM.

Additional options available:

 We can remove the wood element and bond the rubber directly to the mild steel top.
 The contact surface can be fixed or interchangeable.
 The castors can be fitted with or without brakes, with or without a pair of fixed castors.
 Can be fitted with or without a handle.
 Can be fitted with or without a document pocket.
 Can be fitted with standard or high temperature rubber.

This frame has been powder coated in RAL 9001 Ivory to provide a hard wearing long lasting finish.

Approximate overall size – 700mm (W) x 700mm (D) x 900mm (H).
