This Heavy Duty Drawer Unit, designed for a large international aerospace OEM, is perfect for the transportation or storage of heavy components.

Scope of work:

Design and manufacture a heavy duty trolley with 6 off drawer units to Acres drawing number: AD-695-2015-04.

The trolley features 6 off drawers, fork pockets, heavy duty 200mm castors and a gauge to say if the trolley has been kitted.

The design features a heavy duty trolley unit built from a 1m standard A Frame base. The base of the unit has been fitted with fabricated fork pockets for easy transportation and loading. The trolley is mounted on 4 0ff castor wheels, 2 fixed and 2 swivel with brakes and features a drop down handle for manual movement.

The 6 drawers are internally dimensioned at 895mm x 753mm x 131mm. The drawers are linked so that only one drawer can be opened at any one time and also feature a safety catch that has to be pressed to release the drawer.

Acres can produce foam profiles to suit the contents of the drawers should this be required.

The trolley includes a “go, no go” gauge which detects when the trolley has been kitted. Finally the assembly is finished with an A4 document pocket to protect and maintenance sticker.
