Recovery Cage

Drawing Number: AD-287-2013-10

Recovery Cage ABCF Design.

The aim of the Recovery Cage trolley design is to securely store non-conformance parts in the ABCF. This will allow the segregation of non-conforming parts and greatly reduce the risk of non-conformance parts mixing with production parts.

The main framework is manufactured from 30mm box section with 1.2mm thick mild steel infill panels. In order to improve visibility the door design features an angle frame with a 2″x 2″ weld mesh front. This allows the parts inside to be viewed. An A4 document pocket is fitted to the side. The top of the unit is angled to prevent anything being stored there.

Security is key in regards to non-conformance parts so we have included a combination code cam-lock that allows the door to be locked. The interior top section features 450mm long laser cut locating hooks to support the parts while the lower section has two shelves for boxes and a drawer fitted with ball bearing slides.

To manoeuvre the Recovery Cage trolley it has has been fitted with 4 off swivel and braked castors with 100mm diameter blue elastic rubber tyre non marking wheels.

The cage has been powder coat finished in Rail Red Gloss BS381C 593.

Approximate overall size – 1650mm (H) x 1000mm (W) x 570mm (D).
