Recovery Module Cage

Drawing Number: AD-403-2014-03

The Recovery Module Cage has been designed and manufactured for a Midlands based Aerospace OEM for use within the advance blades casting facility to securely store non-conformance parts.

The Recovery Module Cage will allow the segregation of non-conforming parts and greatly reduce the risk of non-conformance parts mixing with production parts.

The main framework has been fabricated from 30mm box section with 1.2mm thick mild steel infill panels. To one end a formed handle, manufactured from 30mm dia circular tube. In order to improve visibility the door design features an angle frame with a 2″x2″ weld mesh front. This will allow the parts inside to be viewed. The top of the unit will be angled to prevent any unwanted items being stored on top.

Security is key in regards to non-conformance parts so we have included a combination code camlock that will allow the door to be locked by the operator.

The interior will feature 3 shelf sections, each section will hold 2 off Euro boxes which will store the non-conforming parts.

On the ends of the trolley are a fabricated document pocket to store the necessary paperwork.

To maneuverer the trolleys 4 off swivel and braked castors with 100mm diameter blue elastic rubber tired non marking wheels will be fitted.

Approximate overall size – 1620mm (H) x 830mm (W) x 570mm (D).

The solution has been powder coated in Rail Red Gloss BS381C 593 (RAL 3001) and
Safety Yellow RAL 1003 to provide a long lasting hard wearing finish.
