The Spider Trolley

Manufactured to improve the productivity, aesthetics and FOD reduction aimed at achieving a Gold Standard manufacturing environment.

Our client faced a challenge in the HP Turbine Bay. Critical tooling such as the spiders did not have a storage location. As a result, the tooling was at risk of damage and potential loss of time, as well as under utilisation of manufacturing area.

In order to solve these challenges, Acres attended site and agreed a suitable solution. A trolley has been designed to hold/store ‘spiders’ thus called the Spider Trolley. However, this design is suitable for a range of tooling.

Features

• Manufacture from 40mm x 40mm x 3mm SHS and 33.7mm x 3mm CHS.
• Trolley is design to hold “Spiders” and must fit underneath the 4m workstation.
• The Spider trolley features two shelves. The top shelf is 20mm thick with a machined section (15mm
  deep) to stop equipment from falling from the trolley. The bottom shelf is 3mm thick and has the corners
  notched.
• The trolley is assembled with 125mm diameter castors, blue rubber black centre – 2 fixed castors and 2 swivel
  with brake castors.
