Acres Engineers Time on the Ball for SSAFA Charity Football Game!

On Saturday 10th June, Acres Engineering participated in a football tournament to raise money for SSAFA, The Armed Forces Charity.

Despite the current heat wave; Team Acres played incredibly to make it to the Semi-Finals. Surrounded by support from family and friends, who watched the games from the side of the pitch with refreshments.

Throughout the day, Team Acres definitely caught the attention of others with their creative kit. In May, the team had the opportunity to design their t-shirts; which were printed by Future Past Clothing. The questionable name choices were a hilarious feature of the designs; creating a huge buzz from the audience.

The Armed Forces charity offers support to those in service at any point in their military career. Providing care in the form of financial assistance and guidance. The SSAFA helps veterans or the youngest recruit on the journey to be free from debt, addiction or mental health problems and is committed to stand with them for as long as it’s necessary. Back in March 2022, Managing Director, Luke Parker took to the skies to participate in a 5000ft high Skydive to raise money for SSAFA. It wasn’t that long ago, that Acres Engineering celebrated the King’s Coronation in the style of A Big Brew Up to also raise funds for the charity.
