Gain and Maintain Large Chill Cast Trolleys – REF: 2015-08-11881
Project Scope:
Manufacture gain and maintain trolley to drawing: 09-12-7016-A2-RevisionC.
The gain and maintain trolley has been designed for a midlands based Aerospace client for the transportation and storage of high temperature castings around the production cell during the manufacture of aerospace components.
Manufactured from 25mm x 25mm x 2mm mild steel square hollow section frame with an 18mm plywood top surface, which in turn has a 6mm silicone rubber surface bonded to it. The silicone rubber has an operating temperature of 200 degrees centigrade. The wood and rubber have been attached to the trolleys using a spring system to take the shock out of transportation. The springs have a combined load rating of 69.6kg. This is to allow for total range of products (25kg – 55kg). The trolleys have also been fitted with an A4 document pocket and assembled with standard 160mm diameter castors, black solid rubber with metal centres.
