Tooling & Jig Storage Racking

Scope

Design and manufacture a shelving solution to hold tooling and jigs. The efficient, effective, safe and certified racking helped to speed up productivity time. The solution was designed to a SWL to hold and safely store bespoke tooling parts.

Each rack features 3 x shelves which have a SWL of 200kg. Each level has a central divider and ball transfer units fitted so the tooling equipment could be easily transferred on and off. The front of each shelf has drop down gate to secure the tools once they are loaded. This improves safety of the tools when being stored on the unit. The overall size of the unit is 4000mm (W) x 1250mm (D) x 1600mm (H), which delivers improved space utilisation through efficient footprint design and allows for improved accessibility. The bright blue powder coat finish looks very impressive however Acres offer many different colours.
